MIT in it’s infinite wisdom has already made all it’s courses available online via Open Course Ware. Since they’ve done this they’ve now released the material for their 6.189 Multicore Programming Primer: PS3 Cell Programming. Dig in and learn some parallel algorithm and other geeky things.

Here’s an interesting prototype of a generator using rotational motion, powered by sugar and yeast. It sounds like it just causes an imbalance in the system and gravity does the rest. Check out this MAKE: Blog: “Cloud” digital sculpture found by make. The YouTube video is astounding. It’s really quite hypnotic and certainly captivating. It’s not only a beautiful art piece but no minor engineering feat.

It’s an eyeball that just follows you around the room. It’s X-eye. It’s creepy, it’s awesome. It’s even set to blink one second after the person looking at it blinks. Get creaped out by Opto-Isolator – Flong. Kind of makes me want to remake one.
