I’m a big fan of open source, and I’m a big fan of electronics. Naturally this project, MAKE: Low cost open source VGA compatible video card sparked my interest. It’s an open hardware VGA card. Meaning that if you were so inclined you could buy all the component parts, download the eagle diagram, etch your own board, and install it into your computer. Talk about roll your own. WARNING: building this project will certainly earn you a geek badge.
